3D Print Lab

As a way of rapid prototyping, 3D Printing at Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design has been available for students since 2010.  Over time, the 3D printing capabilities have been expanded and updated to accommodate students’ needs.

Located on the ground level of Vol Walker Hall, the 3D Printing Lab is managed by the Digital Fabrication Specialist, Fabrication Lab Assistant and Student Technicians. The lab houses 6 PRUSA printers and 3 larger format Creality CR-10 printers that use PLA and other thermoplastic materials.

The lab is available to Fay Jones School students and faculty for design, coursework and research projects. More details about the requirements for using the facility are outlined in the Fabrication Laboratories Handbook found on the policy page. User files must be approved before a print can be scheduled.  File consultation appointments can be made at designreserve.uark.edu.
